Louisville, KY, April 30, 2008 – Brown-Forman announced today the promotion of Jane Morreau to the newly created position of director of financial management and technology, reporting to Don Berg, who becomes chief financial officer of the company on May 1.
In her new position, Morreau will be responsible for the financial management of the company’s sales, marketing, and production functions, and will continue to oversee the corporate controller’s group. Morreau will also be responsible for the company’s technology and information management functions. Concurrent with this promotion, she will join Brown-Forman’s management Executive Committee and will remain the company’s principal accounting officer.
“Jane’s depth and breadth of knowledge of our business, coupled with her many years of experience, make her the ideal person to help lead our finance and technology organizations,” said Berg.
Morreau joined Brown-Forman in 1991 as manager of financial analysis. Since then, she has served as director, assistant vice president, and vice president of the business planning and analysis function and most recently as controller. Morreau previously worked for over 11 years at Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation (now known as Yum! Brands.) She earned both undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Louisville and is a CPA.
